Every practice has different operational requirements, patient demographics and clinical pressures. Locumdoctor4u provides experienced GP cover through clearly defined packages as well as bespoke arrangements.
Our service is designed to support routine capacity, annual leave, sickness absence and periods of increased demand, while recognising the clinical and administrative workload associated with contemporary general practice.
Whether you require a single session, full-day cover, additional clinical work or regular ongoing support, arrangements can be agreed around your practice's needs.
Our principal 2026 GP packages are shown below. All services remain subject to availability and agreed scope.
12 face-to-face appointments of 15 minutes each, associated referral and prescribing work, routine results and document handling, plus up to one home visit.
Two sessions, 08:30–11:00 and 14:30–17:00, with 12 appointments per session, plus agreed routine prescribing, results and correspondence allocations.
Two sessions with 12 appointments per session, up to two home visits, and agreed routine prescribing, results and correspondence allocations.
Additional services and work outside the agreed package are charged as set out below, subject to prior agreement where applicable.

The following principles apply unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing before the booking.
Standard appointments are 15 minutes, with a maximum of 12 appointments per session unless otherwise agreed.
Included prescribing, results and correspondence work must be agreed in advance. Exceptional volumes and backlogs may require a separate arrangement.
Home visits are included only where specified in the package. Travel, parking and work outside the usual service area should be agreed before booking.
Urgent, weekend, out-of-hours or unusually demanding assignments are subject to availability and individually agreed rates.
Cancellation terms should be confirmed at the time of booking and will be set out in the applicable booking agreement.
Invoices are payable within the period agreed with the practice. Any different payment arrangements should be confirmed in writing.
