Doctors who have obtained their medical qualification from medical institutions in UK tertiary education automatically qualify for full GMC registration. Apart from this, doctors who are nationals of EEA member states or those who have EC rights also qualify for GMC certification.
Furthermore, IMGs (International Medical Graduates), or those who are qualified from Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, the West Indies, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia (provided their degree is awarded by the University of Malaysia and before 2004) are qualified for GMC registration.
